Avinash Mishra came fourth in Bigg Boss 18 and has spent the whole season being described as a villain by viewers who could not take their eyes off him. Avinash left the show as the fourth-best contestant of nineteen with much more fans than when he arrived at the show.
Prior to joining Bigg Boss 18, Avinash had already spent seven years in Hindi television shows, ranging from Sethji in 2017 through Yeh Teri Galiyan, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and a lead role in Nath: Zewar Ya Zanjeer. Also, he is a disc jockey, but this fact is not highlighted by most biographers writing about him. He has taken part in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 in 2026, and has done utterly well.
This is his entire biography: Raipur, move to Mumbai, serials, Bigg Boss and the relationship that followed it.

Early Life And Family:
Born on 9th December 1995 in Raipur, currently known as Chhattisgarh,
his parents are Ravi Mishra and Sangeeta Mishra. There was no Bollywood industry present around him. Raipur is far from Mumbai in every possible way for an aspiring actor, and there is no local film industry to begin with.
He completed his education in Raipur and came to Mumbai in 2016 to pursue acting career. This is an interesting and rather risky series of events: complete education, move out, and start acting.
How He Started:
This started with shooting commercials and print assignments when he was still in college.
Modeling is a sure way to break into acting if you are a young and unconnected actor, and it worked for him. In one year of being in Mumbai, he was already acting on television.
Television Debut In Sethji:
His debut role on television was Bajirao in the show Sethji that aired on Zee TV in 2017.
That same year, he also did Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya with Jiya Shankar, Abhay Singh Oberoi in Ishqbaaaz, and Sid in Love on the Run. Four roles in one year of his debut mean a lot of work!
Yeh Teri Galiyan And Shantanu Mazumdar:
His breakthrough performance was as Shantanu Mazumdar in Yeh Teri Galiyan on Zee TV between 2018 and 2020, opposite Vrushika Mehta.
Two years playing the male protagonist on a national TV channel turns a journeymen actor into a recognizable one. And it will always be his claim to fame before any stint he had on Bigg Boss.

Kavach and Mahashivratri are also part of his discography.
The Disc Jockey Career:
This comes on top of his acting as he works as a DJ, and this is one of the least known things about him.
The work has been classified as a career and not a hobby, and it earns him additional income from other sources than those linked to acting in films. For an actor on television in between shows, having a booked calendar is a major benefit.
Music Videos And Writing:
He continues to appear in regular music videos such as the Punjabi numbers ‘Nazar Mila 2.0’ and ‘Aye Dil Mere,’ as well as ‘Barsaat Ho Rahi’ and ‘Shukriya.’
Avinash has also tried his hand at writing. He wrote the screenplay for a short film titled ‘The Blogger,’ which is rather an uncommon entry on a TV actor’s resume.
Bigg Boss 18:
He was a part of Bigg Boss 18 on Colors, which started in October 2024, until the final on 19 January 2025, where he was eliminated in the penultimate place. He secured a fourth place position.
Karan Veer Mehra won the show, while the other participants securing the top four positions were Vivian Dsena, Rajat Dalal and Avinash.
It was not an easy season for him. He was getting continuously nominated after the second week, and he was one of those who were into many intense fights of the season. Mishra was largely seen as an antagonist by the viewers during this season. He had used the show like a game, such as nominating Vivian Dsena, whom he had called his friend, and justifying it as a game strategy.
A fourth place out of nineteen is definitely a good position no matter what the audience felt about the tactics used, and the following he has garnered through the season is the main reason for all of his recent work.
Award Recognition:
He was nominated at the Indian Television Academy Awards in the Fan Fiction Jodi category for Bigg Boss 18 in 2025, along with Eisha Singh.
This is a category voted by the fans, not a performance category, and hence, it is quite reflective of how this season really helped him.
Avinash Mishra And Eisha Singh:
This is how he came into contact with the actress Eisha Singh in the Bigg Boss 18 house; their relationship was intimate enough for people to track as a story.
Since then, their relationship has always been publicized as they travel together to Bangkok to shoot music videos. In 2026, the couple shared a picture of their hands with rings, causing many to assume that the two of them had gotten engaged or performed a Roka ceremony. The two of them haven’t made any kind of announcement about it.
It has been confirmed that the two met each other during the show and have been in a public relationship ever since then.
Khatron Ke Khiladi 15:
He featured in the fifteenth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi which is a stunt-based reality show, hosted by Rohit Shetty, in 2026. It is his second significant reality format appearance of the 2020s, and his second in a row which emphasizes on physicality than the dialogue. Overall, he outperformed most participants in the show.
Avinash Mishra Net Worth:
The net worth of Avinash Mishra ranges between Rs 6 crore and Rs 10 crore after nine years of Hindi television shows, reality show fees, DJing, music video roles and collaborations.
Series work forms the core. He has been working on television without any break from 2017, including a two-year-long lead in Yeh Teri Galiyan and Nath. The money he earns from television series comes episode by episode.
The reality show fees changed his earnings game. An appearance in a reality show such as Bigg Boss, until the finale, earns him weekly fees for about three months, and then Khatron Ke Khiladi adds to the amount.
He has a two million following on Instagram, along with a business manager listed on Instagram, which indicates professionalism in that area.
Then there is DJ bookings. It is the one where he earns without getting casted for anything.

Final Take:
Avinash Mishra is clearly the best example of reality television working precisely as an actor expects it to work.
He already had seven years of consistent Hindi television experience and absolutely nothing to prove for it in terms of fame. It took one aggressive season to change that and he did not achieve it by winning people’s affection. It took him just four spots in the rankings to become the person about whom everyone was talking and then use it for a second reality slot, a relationship that people are interested in and millions of followers.
The DJing is the thing that speaks the most about him. He created a career that cannot be snatched away from him just because they are not casting him in their TV shows.
