It is important to note that a few biographies provide a birth date of June 12, 1996, making her a year older. The birth date of January 14, 1997, is the one mentioned by the vast majority and the one used on this page.
In any case, she has the astrological sign of Capricorn because both birth dates fall outside of the other months for the sign to be something else.
Shreya Kalra Physical Stats:
| Attribute | Details |
|---|---|
| Height | Around 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 4 inches (160 to 163 cm) |
| Build | Slim, fitness-focused |
| Hair colour | Dark brown |
| Eye colour | Dark brown |
| Body Weight | 62 kg |
Fitness is a large part of her content and it was part of what got her through the Roadies audition, where the judges commented on her physical conditioning alongside her dancing.
Early Life In Indore:
Shreya grew up in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in what she terms as a middle-class family.
Her brother by the name Manish can be seen appearing in most of her videos. Shreya did her schooling in Indore and later proceeded to further education in Indore as well.
Her family does not have any background in films or television and neither does Indore feed the entertainment industry in Mumbai. Shreya has everything that she has made from her phone.
The Short-Video Years:
It all started from short video platforms where she uploaded dance videos.
It happened quickly. In the absence of any awareness of her name among any TV producers, she managed to acquire hundreds of thousands of followers on the platform, and then dance became a constant even when she switched to Instagram and YouTube.
The ban of TikTok in India in 2020 destroyed that entire base overnight for an entire generation of Indian creators. Shreya is one of those people who chose to rebuild themselves rather than disappear from the platform and moved to Instagram and YouTube.
It is the most underrated achievement of her entire career. There were many creators like her in 2020 who did not come back from that.
MTV Roadies Revolution:
She had her breakthrough at the national level in 2020 when she took part in the show MTV Roadies Revolution as a wildcard entrant for the team of Nikhil Chinapa.
A number of performers have made their mark on Indian TV through the show “Roadies” – the audition process being centered more on the personality and physical prowess of the participant, rather than the actor skills. Her dancing and fitness level ensured her participation in the show.
While she was unsuccessful in winning the season, it was not required of her. Being a wildcard participant who impresses the viewers leaves with a lasting impression, and the show elevated her from being an artist to a recognized name.
Acting And Music Videos:
Her transition to scripted content was marked by her first acting role in the online series Heartbeats: Pyaar Aur Armaan in 2024 on Amazon MX Player.
Along with this she has starred in a string of music videos in the past couple of years, which is quite fitting for a dancer who has a massive online presence.
She also has her own conversation-style podcast where she interviews various creators from the media industry, which is a move towards creating an organic channel.
Lock Upp Season Two:
In 2026 she appeared on Lock Upp, the second season of which was set in the confinement genre.
It is definitely more difficult than Roadies. Lock Upp focuses on confession and confrontation and not on any physical challenges, and people who have a certain reputation for speaking their minds get picked up for this reason specifically.
Shreya Kalra Career Timeline:
| Year | Milestone |
|---|---|
| 1997 | Born on 14 January in Indore |
| 2019 | Gains popularity in millions via short videos |
| 2020 | Makes an entry into MTV Roadies Revolution as a wildcard for Nikhil Chinapa’s team |
| 2020 | Regains her fan base via Instagram and YouTube due to the ban imposed on TikTok |
| 2024 | Acts for the first time in a web series Heartbeats: Pyaar Aur Armaan |
| 2026 | Featured in Lock Upp season two |
Personal Life:
She is single, living and working in Mumbai, where she recently shifted from Indore.
She is rumored to be dating the actor and social media influencer Rishabh Jaiswal, who starred in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, from around 2023. No official confirmation has been made regarding the relationship by either of them, and neither have they officially announced the engagement rumors.
Apart from this, she tries to keep all of her family members away from her content, except her brother.
Shreya Kalra Net Worth:
Net worth of Shreya Kalra is not stated; however, various estimates, which tend to fall between Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore, are speculative in nature.
What can be discussed is the source of money. Sponsorship on social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube is what brings most of the revenue to her, and in case of a creator specializing in the field of dancing, fashion and fitness, those are quite lucrative niches since the followers are buying products.
Reality shows provide appearance fees. Roadies and Lock Upp pay their participants, and Lock Upp even pays weekly. Music videos and acting bring less income along with the podcast.
Anyone who provides the specific number of Shreya’s net worth is speculating based on the number of followers.
Shreya Kalra Social Media Handles:
| Platform | Handle |

The handles conclude with a double “a”. Instagram is her primary platform and where she keeps her brand content.
Final Take:
Shreya Kalra provides a rather clear-cut case of an occupation that was impossible to pursue just fifteen years ago. She came from neither the film industry family nor the drama school, and she did not relocate to Mumbai until after gaining the necessary audience base.
Kalra started building her audience on her phone in Indore, turned them into the Roadies wildcard participant, endured the platform’s banning of such people, and later moved on into acting, music videos, podcasts, and even another format of reality shows.
However, the one thing she has yet to do is to get the defining role or participate in the defining season for her in the same way as the first season of Roadies became for her.’
