This is the complete profile: his age and height, marriage with Dalljiet Kaur and his son, all serials that he has appeared in, all four reality shows and how he earns money.

Fitness is certainly part of his public identity. He has written about it for a national paper and his protein intake was a joke in the Bigg Boss show.
Family And Early Life In Jabalpur:
Born and brought up in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, he belongs to the family of Brij Mohan Bhanot, who is a businessman, and Sunita Bhanot.
He studied in the city and performed on the stage as well as in sports before heading to Mumbai. There were no links of the movie business in his family, and Jabalpur does not have any TV industry of its own.
He then took training from the Hollywood actor trainer, Michelle Danner, which is quite an interesting thing for someone doing Indian TV shows, especially with most of his work being mythological drama.
MTV Roadies 2 And The Start:
His stint on television commenced in 2004 when he was a contestant in MTV Roadies 2 and managed to win the fourth position.
Roadies is one television program that has kick-started many television careers in India and the actor had followed suit by first doing an audition for this program and then taking up roles in several serials like Ayushmaan, Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar (Karan), Sanya, Kahin To Hoga and Kulvaddhu.
Nach Baliye 4 Win:
His only trophy was bagged back in 2008 during the Nach Baliye 4 season, a celebrity dancing show for married couples in which he participated alongside Dalljiet Kaur.
The couple tied the knot the very next year. This is one piece of television history that goes well and indeed is one of the first things people write about both of them.
Suryaputra Karn, Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush And His Serial Career:
It is through his mythology-related performances that people got to know him.
He was cast in the role of Duryodhan in Suryaputra Karn in 2015-2016, in the role of Maha Singh in Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 2017, and in the role of Ravan in Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush in 2019-2020. Shalin has also done a cameo in Naagin 4 in the name of Keshav Goradia, and this has been misrepresented in many bios of him as a lead.
He was offered the male lead in Bekaboo of Balaji Telefilms, production house of Ekta Kapoor, during the finale episode of Bigg Boss show in real time.
His foray into the world of web series has been through Inspector Avinash as Inspector Baljit Singh.

Shalin Bhanot In Bigg Boss 16:
He has been one of the most talked about participants of Bigg Boss 16 on Colors TV in October 2022 and ended up fifth in the final round.
His pay-out was among the lowest in the season at Rs 4 lakh per week, and he was certainly one of those who was earning many times his money and yet got evicted earlier than him.
However, the pay-off happened during the finale show when Ekta Kapoor gave him the lead in the upcoming TV show Bekaboo on air. This is perhaps the greatest achievement for an actor participating in such a show.
Khatron Ke Khiladi 14:
His most recent return to reality shows was in 2024 in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, which was hosted by Rohit Shetty, where he placed fourth.
It means that he has made his presence felt in four reality shows in the last two decades, with every appearance resulting in his being in the top five.
Shalin Bhanot Wife: Dalljiet Kaur:
They tied the knot on 9 December 2009, some time after they had won Nach Baliye 4 together.
Jaydon is their child, born during this marriage. They broke up and got divorced in 2015.
Their separation resulted in open conflict, for which each side had accusations that have been denied by him. Nothing in this case has seen any verification in the courts; all details remain vague. Dalljiet Kaur is now remarried and has herself participated in Bigg Boss 13.
Shalin Bhanot Son:
He is the father of one son, Jaydon, who is born from his marriage with Dalljiet Kaur.
Though he has mentioned him in public, including in Bigg Boss, he does not feature him much in his work.
His Businesses:
The aspect of his biography which very few sources talk about is that he is also a company director.
Bhanot Creations Private Limited was founded by him in 2008, and then he became a director of two companies: Bhanot Infra Ventures Private Limited and Prime Land Private Limited in 2017. His property and production interests in addition to his acting career help to understand his considerable wealth.
He also plays in the Box Cricket League with Mumbai Warriors team.
Shalin Bhanot Net Worth:
Estimated net worth of Shalin Bhanot lies between Rs 18 crore and Rs 25 crore through two decades of work on television shows, four seasons in reality shows, brands and his property companies.
Serial acting is the foundation, while the duration of serials is what determines how the money rolls in. Leading and anti-heroic roles in Sony, Colors and Life OK pay per episode for serials running for over a year, and he has been busy almost since 2005.
Reality television pays less than expected. Salary of Rs 4 lakh per week on Bigg Boss 16 over a whole season is noteworthy, but not life-changing, and the lead role in Bekaboo following it paid even better.
It is all in the companies he owns. Two property companies and a production company bring money without needing an acting role – that is why his net worth stands high above those of other television actors with similar achievements.
Instagram collaborations with 3.2 million followers bring it all together.

Both of these handles spell out the plain form of his name, which is unusual, and his Instagram account has about 3.2 million followers.
Final Take:
Amongst actors on this blog, Shalin Bhanot is by far the one who is employed the most, and also has received the least number of awards.
Forth in Roadies, fifth in Bigg Boss, and fourth in Khatron Ke Khiladi. He has had twenty years of steady work in serials, a debut in the film industry through a Dharma production that led to nothing, and also two mythological parts in serials which most people recognize.
The companies are the thing that makes sense of him. He has never needed an award since he never allowed himself to be paid just for his acting.
